WHY GCSICA IS HERE

                                                                                     January 1st 2019

Are innovations essential in career service?

What challenges the career service will have in the coming AI years?

Over the past decades, it was commonly seen in career service that majority of professionals kept heavily relying on those handy but limited resources, which might have lagged behind the real life. On-campus career service is more likely to be a job more administrative rather than academic or educational. This situation is contradictory to its key role that career service plays inherently on the young people’s long-term recognition for their future careers. To meet our deep mission in career service in the coming AI years, we need bring in new concepts, new technologies and new resources globally.

Career service should never stop at landing a job. We may go beyond that through Leveraging the career coach resources world-wide. We need technology to connect the world for the young.

Few organizations have paid their attentions to career coach resource outside the HR circle, yet GCSICA does.

Few organizations have concentrated their efforts on applying cutting edge technologies in career service, yet GCSICA does.

Few organizations have put their eyes on the academic and educational value of career service, yet GCSICA does.

This is why we are here. Let us together make career service a new mission for a new world.
